5 Instagram Updates 2022 You Need To Know About
Update: Instagram is giving people free credit to shop on their website.
The first item in our list of Instagram updates 2022 was an exciting discovery for us.
We came across this through our personal scrolling but were unable to take the screenshot.
It was a pop-up from Instagram that offered us $5 or $10 credit to shop in our favorite Instagram shops.
Another thing we’ve noticed that we took the time to share a screen of is that Instagram offers users 20% off and free shipping!
This is a screen sharing that we obtained from a personal account, therefore it’s not a corporate account.
If we click on the hamburger symbol on your profile and then click Cart it will display our current offers on the highest.
Instagram offers offering 20% off the first purchase on Instagram along with complimentary shipping.
This is in line with the major trend we’ve seen to change Instagram beyond an application for sharing videos and photos to a marketplace for shopping.
Update 2 You are now able to reply to comments made on your Reel by using another Reel.
Someone commented on one of the Reels of our staff Reels on her account as a creator and Instagram provided us with a pop-up that read:
“You are now able to reply to a post with a Reel that displays the comment as stickers.
Your response Reel will be displayed within the comments thread, as well as any other places you have Reels.”
We’ve seen this style of format on TikTok So obviously, Instagram is following suit.
If you receive lots of feedback regarding the Reels and frequently asked inquiries…
…this could be a fantastic way to get your audience involved while gaining more exposure in the process.
Update 3 Introduction of text voice effects and speech in Reels.
The next to our top list of Instagram updates 2022 will be about Reels once more.
Instagram claims that the text to speech feature “lives in our text tool, which is part of the Reels camera and provides an automatic voice to read out your text.
Text to Speech lets to add narration, without your own voice. Be imaginative, and add some amusement and fun for the Reels.”
Here’s a glimpse of what the text-to-speech tool looks like.
The vocal effect can be described as “a tool that allows you to modify the audio and/or voiceover in your Reel.”
Here you can check out what those audio controls look like.
Both of these tools provide you as a small-business owner with a bit more creativity and the ability to create fashionable, eye-catching Reels.
Update 4: Instagram is making Live badges accessible to U.S. designers.
They claim that “by making badges available you’ll earn money for Live content that you create.
Your visitors can buy badges at increments of $0.99, $1.99, and $4.99…
…and in return, as supporters will receive an exclusive thank you message, as well as more visibility in Your live stream.”
The feature is only available exclusively to U.S. creators, ages 18 and over with a minimum of 10,000 followers.
They must also have a business or creator account.
In addition, they must comply with Instagram’s partner monetization guidelines and also comply with the guidelines of the community.
You can find out if you’re eligible via Your Professional account.
If you’re not yet a member, you could apply for monetization on the page.
This feature will not just aid you in earning an extra few dollars and will also increase participation from your audience.

Moving on to what we believe will turn out to be the biggest change we’ve seen on Instagram for a while.
Version 5: Reintroduction to chronological sequence to this algorithm.
If you’re a Day 1 Instagrammer likely to remember when the posts that you noticed in your feed were dependent on the order that they were published.
The algorithm was replaced a couple of years ago by an algorithm on Instagram that will show you the most relevant posts in accordance with what your interests are.
After many years of complaints from users dissatisfied with the algorithm – both on the consumer and the business owner’s aspect…
“Instagram Head Adam (MOE-SERRY) Mosseri said that the company is currently working on a new version of its feed that will display posts of users sequentially…
…unlike its current rank algorithm which sorts posts on the basis of the preferences of users.”
And the fact that “such features have been in development “for several months” with Instagram targeting an announcement at the beginning of 2020’s first quarter.
Since the last couple of years, small companies and influencers have tried to figure out how to use the algorithm…
…by soliciting as many comments, likes or shares, and stories as they can receive.
Even with their engagement levels, some of their fans were not viewing their posts.
The one we have in our top 10 list of Instagram updates 2022 could be a huge deal for small-scale business owners.
And that’s because a chronologically-based feed would give your account more chances to get organic exposure and engagement.
However, it is crucial to keep in mind that, as we understand, the chronological feed will continue to be an option user are able to opt-in.
It will be the decision of the user whether they would like to keep the algorithm in the way they are…
…and check out their feeds as it has been for in the past few years, or Click Here change it to look at it chronologically.
The article stated, “The feed is currently using AI to produce what Instagram believes is a more personal feed, based upon users’ actions.
