It depends on the individual’s condition. The liver is just the organ that regenerates itself in the human body. After donating it to the patient, the donor’s liver grows back to its normal size. It is nearly impossible to predict an individual’s chances of having a successful liver transplant or how long they will live afterward due to various complicated factors. However, in India, the success rate is more than 95% at well-equipped and advanced liver transplant centers. It shows that out of 100 liver transplants, 95 patients were discharged in healthy conditions. Besides, the long-term success rate of the transplant is also high. In fact, you can expect a 65% to 70% survival rate.
